We are currenrtly recruiting for a highly regarded Financial Planning practice in Coggeshall who are looking to recruit a Financial Planner.

The business work with wealthy and aspiring individuals to develop and implement strategies to protect and manage their wealth.

The business is separately regulated to provide advice on all aspects of insurance, pensions and investments, with the experienceand expertise to support clients across a broad range of wealth structuring, generational planning, tax and legal matters.


Purpose


To support a Director or Adviser in preparing technical planning and regulated advice recommendations consistent with best advice and internal policies and procedures.

To additionally provide input to those policies in designated product areas and providementoring and technical training and support to the wider team.


Principal Elements and Accountabilities

Support the Director/Adviser in the development of Wealth Strategies

  • Complete fact finding on existing plans and policies
  • Support Director/Adviser in understanding wider client objectives
  • Prepare cash flow plans and work with adviser to develop different scenarios and strategies
  • Write Financial Review and Wealth Strategy documents
  • Attend client meetings to present cash flow to clients

Prepare advice recommendations

  • Research and analyse existing solutions and make recommendations focusing on more indepth advice including new business, replacement business, transfers
  • Product areas most applicable include:
  • Investments including a centralised investment proposition
  • Pensions including consolidation, LTA analysis, DB transfers, benefit crystalisation
  • Protection focusing mainly on life cover for gifting and IHT planning
  • EIS and VCT using a central panel of approved providers
  • Wealth structuring including IHT planning, Life wrappers, etc.
  • Write recommendation reports, prepare associated paperwork
  • Where appropriate, attend client meetings to walk through advice and options
  • Oversee advice through to implementation

Research and Due Diligence

  • Take responsibility for one or more product areas and provide research, ideas and input to the development of the policies and approach for that area
  • Update central templates and advice policies
  • Maintain market awareness of new products coming to market
  • Keep up to date on legislative and product changes

Qualifications and Experience

  • Likely to be educated to degree or equivalent level
  • Minimum Level 4 qualified and working to or already Chartered
  • Knowledge of Voyant or similar cash flow modelling tool
  • High level of product knowledge around pensions and protection
  • Relevant experience to be able to talk confidently with and present to higher net worth clients
