MIG WELDER

Job Title:
Welder - within Fabrication or Weld department

Shift 14:00 - 22:00 Hours (38 hours/week)

Reporting To:

FABRICATION MANUFACTURING MANAGER

Responsible for/Duties (full training will be given):

Working in a manual environment, lifting heavy equipment with magnetic hoist and chain/strap hoist, the role is to tack and weld metal components as per drawing
Checking quality of parts before and after process of welding
Measuring parts before and after weld against drawing
Grinding and fettling product using air and electric hand tools
Ability to read engineering drawings is essential (further training will be given)
PPE supplied; airfed weld helmet, safety glasses, ear protection, overalls, gloves, safety boots (and visors where relevant)
