Description

To provide women and babies with high quality, safe midwifery care in a variety of practice settings, but mainly within the home throughout the antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal period.

To work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team, other agencies, representatives and service users. To ensure care provided will be evidence based and holistic in meeting women's individual needs. To work autonomously within guidelines and sphere of professional practice. To act as an effective role model, mentor and preceptor as required. In the absence of a Band 7 Team Leader, lead the team and manage the workload.
