Description

Our client is an integrated communications agency which makes brands more meaningful.

With a specialist renewable energy division, they deliver a range of communications services including stakeholder relations, PR and media relations, campaigns and socialmedia.

We are seeking a Communications Manager to run the company's renewable energy division and be the senior contact for client accounts and to manage client service and agency performance within the renewable energy sector.

You will oversee PR campaigns, analyse PR outcomes, nurture and develop talent, to win new business and grow client accounts by providing strategic advice to key stakeholders.

You will also seek new business opportunities, pitching to prospective clients andnetwork contracts.

Communications Manager - Renewable Energy

London OR Ipswich / Hybrid Working

Key Responsibilities

Running the renewable energy business, which includes stakeholder relations for energy developments, building awareness and success for clients in the sector including the supply chain and innovation pipeline, and supporting other organisations in energyand renewables, such as bodies championing opportunities, growth and investment in the clean energy sector.
Driving relationships with the renewable energy trade media
Managing client relationships and building longterm partnerships with the renewable energy client group
Executing creative client projects and liaising with key personnel regarding delivery and success
Providing senior leadership within the business, working with the senior leadership team to drive both our renewables division forward and collaboratively nurture overall business health
Line management responsibility for team members in the renewable energy division
Developing the renewables division to boost positive media coverage
Taking ownership of storytelling with new and creative ideas, driving the editorial strategy with content pitches, press alerts and new campaigns in a range of media, including social media
Monitoring the renewable energy industry and external climate to advise on public relations strategy and positioning.

Qualifications and Required Skills

Ideally you will have a good academic record or a degree in PR / Communications / Marketing
Experience of PR within the renewable energy industry
Knowledge and wider understanding of the renewables industry
Excellent client handling
Thorough knowledge in media, PR and communications
Proficient in Word, Excel & PowerPoint & other Microsoft Applications Proficient in media database management
A strong understanding of the media landscape & how to place a story
Proven and effective client relationships
Project management talents with an aptitude for organisation and attention to detail
Ability to analyse complex data and interpret it for a range of audiences
Business acumen with the ability to communicate across departments and represent the renewables division at a senior level within the business
Proven track record of successfully implementing PR campaigns for a range of clients.
