**Internal Sales Executive
Full time, permanent office-based position
Salary £22, 000 - £26, 000 per annum plus commission
Based Kingston upon Thames area**
Full training will be provided for this role and there will be opportunities for travel


This is a unique opportunity for a self-motivated individual with knowledge or interest within the maritime and shipping industry wishes to carve a career in the maritime and shipping is not just looking for a job To work as part of a small,thriving, expanding team for a rapidly growing organisation based in the Kingston upon Thames area.


Person Specification:


  • Degree educated preferably
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Sales and customer relation skills
  • The ability to absorb and retain information easily
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office
  • Accuracy with strong attention to detail
  • Previous experience in an administrative or customer related role is crucial
  • Ability to multitask effectively under pressure in a fastpaced dynamic environment
  • Solid administrative ability
  • Ability to work on own initiative, dedicated, responsible and reliable
  • Hard working with a "can do" positive attitude and flexible approach
  • Live within an easily commutable distance from the Kingston upon Thames area

Key responsibilities:


  • You will be assisting the directors of the company and will be in close contact with the Sales Representative for your daytoday work.
  • You will be consistently speaking to clients via telephone, to build relationships and to discuss their requirements for ship repairs and contractors in various docks around the world and for afloat requirements.
  • To provide a first class, prompt and efficient customer service and to upsell on products and services (a soft sell)

Other duties include:

  • Taking, checking and processing orders and requests for parts and supplies.
  • Taking, checking and processing orders for contractors and services
  • Keeping track and regularly following up on ongoing projects using MS Office systems and databases
  • Participating in training courses and visits as part of your training
  • Attending events, exhibitions based in UK and abroad
