Job Title
:
Marketing Assistant

This is a central position, the responsibilities of this role span across depots and brands. This position will report to the Commercial Manager.

Monday - Friday, 09:00 am until 17:00 pm. Hours can be discussed further in the interview.

Starting salary £25,000 per annum.


Main Duties

  • Websites
  • Ensuring websites, themes and plugins are kept up to date, using WordPress CMS.


  • Organic SEO

  • Using SEMrush to identify and implement opportunities to improve the natural ranking of our websites. This will include link building, technical and onpage SEO and competitor benchmarking. Monthly reporting on key metrics such as visits, page impressions, conversion rates etc.


  • PPC

  • Assist the commercial manager in implementing PPC/AdWords campaigns. Report on key metrics and make suggestions to increase ROI.
  • Create relevant content for all the websites to drive better organic SEO and enhance User Experience.
  • Maintain pricing, product, and promotional pricing data on WooCommerce for all websites.
  • Work with external agencies (developers and server providers) to ensure 100% uptime for all websites.
  • Work with managers to ensure all websites are secure and compliant with relevant standards.
  • Liaise with managers throughout the business to create regular and relevant social media posts.
  • Monitor and report on key metrics and effectiveness of campaigns.
  • Suggest new ways to generate leads and consumer interest using social media and eDM.
  • Product Management
  • Ensure all current products have optimised descriptions and photography.
  • Work with the buying team to agree new products through range extension.
  • Work with the buying team and branch managers to agree new product ranges.
  • Design, agree and implement launch plans for new products and ranges.
  • Promotions & Advertising
  • Work with branch managers to understand what physical collateral is needed at each branch and that customer experience at branch is second to none.
  • Working with external agencies to deliver promotions and advertising that provide documented ROI.
  • Administration
  • Be responsible for recording all costs against budget and reporting variances monthly.
  • Ordering collateral for branches and centrally
