Kind Consultancy is working with one of the UK's fastest-growing challenger banks which is currently seeking an Assistant Business Development Manager.

Utilising a technology-led approach they've already become of the country's most prominent commercialbanks, lending £1 billion to SMEs since their launch and winning a slew of awards including Best Finance Provider, Best Commercial Mortgage Lender and Most Innovative Lender.

This is a full-time permanent role paying circa £35,000 that will be predominantlyremote, requiring once-a-month travel to the business's offices in Buckinghamshire.

The Assistant BDM will report to the Senior BDM and work with the field-based Business Development Managers to support the ongoing delivery of the bank's Commercial Mortgage proposition, with key responsibilities including:

  • Providing first-line support to panel introducer firms through being a product expert and being able to articulate the Bank's current lending appetite.
  • Handling inbound calls and making outbound calls to develop new business, and resolve issues for existing brokers, potential brokers, and potential customers.
  • Reviewing Commercial Mortgage lending opportunities and providing indicative terms.
  • Handling Customer Services inquiries and liaison with the department to help improve the quality of information sent through and education of call handlers.
  • Undertaking regular chasing of cases in the Commercial Mortgage pipeline.
  • Managing the onboarding of new to Bank introducer firms.
  • Assisting in managing the Bank's Introducer Panel including review processes.
  • Organising and participating in regional events and corporate gifts.
  • Working closely with the Lending Support Team to progress approved cases through to completion.
  • Supporting the creation of meaningful and actionable Management Information.
  • Liaising with marketing for tombstones, profiles, and product/policy changes.
  • Monitoring competitor activity and providing feedback to management.
  • Possesses a demonstratable ability to analyse and review financial accounts and associated information.
  • Has previously worked for a lender (essential)
  • Has sound product knowledge of commercial banking products associated with SME businesses.
  • Has an excellent understanding of commercial property lending and Credit Risk.
  • Is experienced in reviewing Commercial Mortgage lending opportunities.
  • Has uptodate knowledge of the Commercial Finance Broker market.
  • Has experience of working in a fastpaced environment, managing complex, competing, and alternating priorities with a constant focus on delivery.
  • Is a resilient and energetic collaborator, working flexibly, and driving developments rapidly
  • Has confidence, creditability, and highly developed interpersonal skills with a 'cando' attitude.
  • Is a clear and independent thinker, logical, analytical, and structured in approach to all business issues.
  • Has a proven track record of quality relationship management and is able to engage across a wide range of different stakeholders.
  • Is highly organised with excellent time management skills
  • Has strong technical skills, especially MS Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Outlook, etc.
  • Is an excellent communicator with welldeveloped numeracy and writing skills.
