We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established, family-run lift company based across the UK for a Lift Service Engineer to cover a 25 mile radius of Birmingham City Centre, carrying out routine maintenance, servicing and small repair works withinthe area.

The role of the Lift Service Engineer will involve;

  • Servicing, inspection and routine maintenance of traction, hydraulic and stairlift equipment.
  • Managing an assigned geographical route within the West Midlands region.
  • Playing a key role within the company's standby rota, on a 1 week in 3 rotation pattern.
  • Assisting and training Junior Engineers whilst on site, aiding their NVQ 3 progress.
  • Liaising directly with the company's Regional Service Manager.
  • Reporting back to the Office Team to advise of any repairs required to be carried out and quoting for parts.
To be considered for this opportunity, you must have;

  • Either an NVQ 3 in Lift Engineering or similar qualifications within a Lift Engineering discipline.
  • At least 4+ years' experience in managing a service route, attending to breakdowns, and experience of covering a callout rota.
  • A full UK driving license due to location of works.
This position is offering an excellent remuneration package, including;

  • A basic salary of up to £40,000 per annum.
  • Overtime paid after 40 hours contract at enhanced rates.
  • Standby fee paid at £250 per week participating, with further callout rates to be discussed on interview.
  • 25 days' annual leave, plus Bank Holidays and increasing with service.
  • A company pension plan.
  • Company van, with fuel card provided.
