Finance Analyst - Rebate

An exciting opportunity to join a global organisation within the automotive industry as a
Finance Analysthas arisen.


Our client is a global organisation and world leading provider of innovative technologies to the automotive sector operating in over 24 countries.


Reporting to the Financial Controller, the successful
Finance Analyst will be responsible for the management of all aspects of the rebate process including proposals, approvals, contracts, and payments.


The
Finance Analystrole would be offered on a permanent basis and benefits from a salary of up to £37,000 per annum, dependant on experience.

The role would be working 37.5 hours per week, with flexible start and finish times available.


Roles and responsibilities of Finance Analyst:

  • Customer contract Management
  • Partnering with Sales teams and Business Partners on the customer rebates process
  • Manage month end rebate provision calculation and analysis of key movements
  • Responsible for rebate payment process
  • Administrator for the Rebates Sharepoint (contract uploads, rebate provision calculations, approvals)
  • Ad hoc sales reporting, analysis and other tasks as requested
  • Stabilise the current data base within current system
  • Responsible for preparing information for SOX controls related with rebates
  • Improve the accuracy and completeness of the information/output
  • Assistance in implementation of relevant controls
  • Assist with the transition to the new rebates systems (design, testing, implementation requirements)
  • Ability to review the information, challenge information, and consider from KPIs and scrutiny of movement etc
  • Create a process to consistently track changes throughout the period and confirm periodically
  • Assistance with other month end tasks as and when required


Safety and Health - Responsible for completing required safety training, reporting, and correcting any unsafe practices as appropriate, completing work activities in a safe manner, and complying with safety and health requirements for respective position.


Expected Education, skills and competencies required for Finance Analyst:
No specific qualifications are required for this role experience in similar roles and the following skills and competencies are required:

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyse, and disseminate significant amounts of data with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analysing datasets
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Excel PowerPivot / VBA preferable (not essential)
  • Organisation skills with an attention to detail
  • Problemsolving skills
  • Communication skills
  • Time management skills
