Job Summary:


Our Store Supervisors lead shifts and deputise in the absence of the Store Manager to the standards required by Bross Bagels.

The shift supervisor is responsible for assisting the store manager in maintaining a positive environment, which provides fast, efficient, and friendly service ensuring a total Bross experience for both our customers and team members.

Shift supervisors assist in training, customer service, product knowledge, store operations and have a demonstrated commitment to our House Rules.


Key Responsibilities:
Responsibilities and essential job functions include, but are not limited to the following:


  • Leads full store operations in the absence of the Manager.
  • Maintains a clean, organised and stocked store.
  • Performs all POS duties, front and back of house functions including opening and closing procedures to Bross standards.
  • Establishes effective and positive communication amongst all team members and supports the Store Manager in bringing to life the Bross vibe and culture to each shift.
  • Assists the Store Manager in maintaining proper coverage and team member schedules ensuring that the store maintains customer service standards and team members adhere to meal and break policy.
  • Ensures all business asset procedures are upheld. Is accountable for store funds while running a shift.
  • Assists the Store Manager in planning and executing all sales promotions effectively and efficiently.
  • Will provide guidance and actively set an example for team members, ensuring that all standard operating procedures, H&S and Food Safety policies are maintained and followed.
  • Follows and directs team members to follow store policies, procedures and adhere to cleanliness standards.
  • Promotes and practices safe work habits, reporting potential safety hazards, operational inconsistencies and team member incidents in the correct procedure.
  • Is a role model for outstanding service and Bross experience.
  • Proactive in solving customer problems and anticipating their needs.
  • Lead by greeting and responding to all customers with fast, efficient, friendly and personalised service. Strives to develop a rapport with customers by learning their names, favorite bagels and food items.
  • Responds proactively to prevent customer service situations. Investigates and resolves customer incidents, documenting if necessary.
  • Consistently monitors, coaches and encourages team members to meet Bross standards of service.
  • Contributes to a positive team environment by recognising alarms or changes in team morale and performance and communicating them to the Store Manager.
  • Maintains regular and consistent attendance and punctuality and leads by example for the team.

Experience required:

  • Customer service experience in a retail or restaurant environment for 1 year.

Required Skills:


  • Ability to direct the work of others and coach team members to success.
  • Ability to learn quickly often on the job.
  • Effective oral communication skills.
  • Knowledge of the retail, cafe or food environment.
  • Strong ability to work easily with others both in store and the Bross family.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Ability to build relationships.
  • Must be able to work overtime, including weekends, evenings and special events as needed.
  • Must be flexible on availability to suit the needs of the stores.
  • Ability to be flexible to work at all Bross Bagels locations if required.

Job Types:
Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Part-time hours: 37.5 per week


Salary:
£11.00-£12.00 per hour
