Head of Client Due Diligence
Manchester. Hybrid.


Are you someone who has a passion for periodic reviews and On-boarding? This role is for someone who is looking to manage a CDD team and ensure Compliance with policy, risk tolerance and regulatory requirements.

You will be responsible for Quality Checkingall Customer Due Diligence for new to bank customers including supporting Onboarding for High Risk customers and completion of Ongoing Monitoring throughout the client lifecycle.


Responsibilities:


  • Keep up to date with and develop a broad knowledge of upcoming changes in regulations, internal policies and latest developments in financial crime trends
  • To develop effective MI that will highlight the effectiveness of systems and controls and identifying and escalating emerging issues to the appropriate channel;
  • Responsible for clear instructions, processes, systems and training to ensure the Bank complies with all necessary legislative and regulatory requirements
  • The development of close relationships across the district management teams and the branches, providing effective feedback and guidance as appropriate;
  • Develop, support and coach the management team and ensure that the team has a clear succession plan;
  • Develop a high performing team culture through regular communication and team building
  • Line management responsibility for the business operational teams
  • Ensure the Departmentis fully resourced and equipped to handle workflow at all times based on a robust capacity plan
  • Embed the culture.
  • Work in conjunction with internal stakeholders to ensure risks are identified and well managed
  • To act as a demander and participate in projects to enhance systems and controls and how we onboard customers
  • Represent Financial Crime Operations in forums, committees and working groups, as required
  • Work to improve efficiencies within the department for the benefit of customers, staff and the bank, in connection with the Efficiency team where appropriate.
  • Actively promotes and ensures adherence to the Bank's Risk Management framework (including subframeworks) and relevant risk and compliance policies and procedures, ensuring timely and appropriate escalation of concerns to relevant senior stakeholders.

Requirements:


  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills both verbally and written
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to adapt to fast pace changing circumstances in order to ensure a smooth efficient operation.
  • A strong understanding and experience of AML and KYC in the UK regulatory environment
  • An understanding of QC requirements and delivery of QC reviews of KYC standards to include production and presentation of related Management Information.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team
  • Excellent time management skills and able to prioritize workloads to meet agreed deadlines
  • A team player at both Management & Team levels with a positive, supportive and engaged approach to change
