Competitive Salary
25 days holiday and bank holidays, up to 8% pension and more
Monday - Thursday, 8am - 4.30pm, Friday, 8am - 1pm (37 hours/week)
FarehamAre you an experienced Procurement Manager? Have you worked in a highly regulated industry? If so, our client, a well-established aerospace manufacturer, is recruiting for a Procurement Manager for their site in Fareham. The role will involve being accountablefor the end-to-end supply chain function, covering tactical & strategic activity, and supporting the current & future business needs.
Procurement Manager
The Procurement Manager will have the following responsibilities:
- Being responsible for day-to-day management of the procurement teams.
- Developing supply chain strategies that support the overall business strategy.
- Identifying opportunities to eliminate risk and ensuring parts supply continuity.
- Directing and developing the total supply chain and ensuring efficient material management.
- Identifying and implementing cost reduction opportunities that support the business' direct and indirect cost reduction targets.
- Monitoring changes in the global marketplace and being proactive to avoid any negative impact on cost, delivery, or quality performance.
- Developing & implementing strong framework agreements with suppliers and being accountable for reporting & managing supplier performance.
- Supporting the local supply chain team by establishing, maintaining, and monitoring KPI's.
- Liaising with internal teams to support successful supplier audits.
- Overseeing commodity management and resolving any issues.
- Providing costing data and strategic support for reviews and projects.
- Managing and developing relationships with the company's overseas manufacturing sites.
- Managing the transition of tactical purchasing from UK to overseas manufacturing facilities, enabling direct purchase by overseas site.
Procurement Manager
The Procurement Manager will require the following essential skills/experience:
- Strong tactical purchasing background.
- Proven track record of negotiating with a variety of suppliers.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office suite.
- Proficient in using an ERP System, ideally SAP.
- Prior experience working in a highly regulated industry (aerospace, nuclear, defence, etc).
Procurement Manager
The Procurement Manager will require the following desirable skills/experience:
- Relevant degree or qualification in Supply Chain/Procurement.
