We are looking to recruit a flexible, enthusiastic, and adaptable Healthcare Governance Lead Nurse who will be the focal point for healthcare governance within the Catterick Integrated Care Campus (CICC) and will be key to developing healthcare governance processes as the Catterick Integrated Care Campus develops.

Job description:


Person specification:

Main duties of this role will include but not be limited to:

  • Acting as the lead for Healthcare Governance for the combined Practice at Catterick, responsible for maintaining and monitoring a healthcare governance system which includes audit, risk management, implementing and co-ordinating the integration of healthcare governance principles in relation to clinical practice.
  • Ensuring all personnel are working to achieve best practice and clinical effectiveness and to deliver the highest standard of care to the entitled patient population.
  • Managing, coordinating, investigating and resolving all Automated Significant Event Reporting (ASER) raised in Practice including the collation of data as required by Defence Primary Healthcare Headquarters Healthcare Governance Team, offering advice and support to medical facility staff on root cause analysis and trend analysis of significant events.
  • Maintaining professional competencies and clinical currency by working in the clinical environment as required by Senior Medical Officer Catterick Garrison.
  • Providing support and guidance on healthcare governance matters to the wider North region as required by the Regional Headquarters Team.

Desirable Criteria
Minimum of 2 years' experience in a senior nursing and/or management position demonstrating leadership and personal development.

Preparation for Mentorship or similar qualification.

Healthcare Governance training.

Non-Medical Prescribing qualification.

Nurse Practitioner / Advanced Nurse Practitioner Qualification.

Infection Prevention and Control Training.

Interview Selection Training.


Qualifications:


  • Registered Nurse First Level with live Nursing & Midwifery Council registration.
  • Professional knowledge acquired through training to degree/diploma level plus specialist clinical and management training

Memberships:


  • Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) registration
