Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Payroll Assistant. As a Payroll Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely processing of employee payroll. This position requires proficiency in various accounting software and strong analytical skills.


Responsibilities:


  • Process payroll for employees using accounting software such as QuickBooks, PeopleSoft, or Workday
  • Ensure accuracy of employee time records and deductions
  • Prepare and distribute paychecks or direct deposits to employees
  • Maintain payroll records and documentation
  • Assist with resolving payroll discrepancies or issues
  • Collaborate with the HR department to ensure accurate employee data in the HRIS system
  • Assist with the preparation of payroll reports for management
  • Perform data entry tasks related to payroll processing
  • Support the accounts payable process as needed

Skills:


  • Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, PeopleSoft, or Workday
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to analyze data and identify discrepancies
  • Knowledge of human resources processes and procedures
  • Experience with data entry and record keeping
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
