We are one of the largest housing associations in the North of England, managing over 36,000 homes across the North of England.

We are looking for a
People Business Advisor to join the People team. As a
People Business Advisor you will be looking after the Property Services and Environmental services business areas.

You will assist and give advice and guidance to managers and employees on People policies, and procedural issues including sickness management, grievance, disciplinary, performance/capability, maternity/paternity/adoption, terms and conditions of employment and retirement administration.


Requirements:


_ Outline of Key responsibilities for the People Business Advisor _

  • To provide expert advice and guidance to line managers on a range of employment issues, including disciplinary, grievance, absence management, and performance management.
  • Ensure the effective implementation of HR policies and procedures, providing coaching and support to line managers as required.
  • Conduct investigations, hearings, and appeals as necessary, ensuring a fair and thorough process is followed.
  • Support line managers in managing change processes, including restructures and redundancies.
  • Deliver training and workshops to line managers on employmentrelated topics.
  • Keep uptodate with changes in employment law and best practice, advising the organisation on any implications for policies and procedures.

_We are looking for someone who has _

  • Experience in an HR advisory role, providing guidance and support to line managers on employment issues.
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices.
  • Experience in conducting investigations, disciplinary hearings, and appeals.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong problemsolving skills and the ability to handle complex HR issues.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Salary of £28,173 per annum:


  • Annual pay scale increase

27 days holiday (rising to 32 over 5 years' service) + bank holidays

Hybrid working 1 day a week in either Blackburn, Halifax, or Wakefield office
