Your New Role As Assistant Management Accountant:

Reporting to the senior management accountant, you shall be tasked with a variety of duties and work closely with others in the finance team.

You shall gain exposure across the group and be provided with the support to progress.

As Assistant Management Accountantyou shall work alongside others in the business and seek to develop process and procedure, adding value to the future decision making process.

You shall ensure the timely production of monthly management accounts and develop further in your role.

Main role duties:

  • Preparation of endtoend monthly management accounts, across the legal entities, including;
  • Accruals and prepayments
  • Depreciation
  • Overhead recharges
  • Full balance sheet reconciliation
  • Annual budget preparation, including monthly reforecast.
  • Monthly VAT return preparation and submission.
  • Liaising with external Accountants on preparation of year end accounts.
  • Project cost reconciliation, including budget comparisons.
  • Embed control and compliance checks throughout the companies' processes.
  • Assist with training of Accounts Assistants.
  • To assist the Finance Director with adhoc projects and queries

Experience & Qualifications Required To Apply:

To be considered for this role you shall have previous experience working in an account's environment ideally within a growing company.

Actively studying towards a professional accountancy qualification, namely CIMA or ACCA you shall also hope to continue studies(which are funded) and have a passion to add value.

With a solid grounding and able to produce monthly management accounts you will have a good eye for detail, good interrogation skills and have a real team work ethic.

Previous experience of using Sage 50would be advantageous.

You shall be confident in the use of Excel and have excellent organisational skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines.
