We currently have two opportunities for you to join The House of Bruar Butchery Department and Retail Counter Team to work with the finest meat and produce Scotland has to offer.
Our Award winning Butchery offers our customers locally sourced meat, either pre-prepared or butchered to order, and successful applicants will find themselves working with our supportive, encouraging and passionate team to ensure that we continue to provide the highest standards in customer service and that we comply with Health & Safety and legal standards at all times.
In our Butchery Production Assistant role you will gain product knowledge, learn cutting and preparation skills including Sausage & Burger production to cover our very busy serve over counter and multi-decks, as well as producing products to service our 600-seat restaurant.
Also, we work closely with assessors from Scottish Meat Training to ensure that you are consistently progressing and on track whilst enjoying your learning journey within our successful and award winning Butchery.
Your key responsibilities in this position will include:
- Production of all manufactured lines
- Burgers and Sausages.
- Stock rotation and date control to ensure zero department wastage.
- Assisting with preparing orders to customer's needs and having a good understanding of stock control processes and procedures.
- Helping with Mail Order requests.
- Serving at the counter.
- Maintaining store visual standards in cleaning duties and merchandising.
In our Butchery Counter Assistant Role you will be responsible for supporting Butchery sales and profits by working closely with the team and customers, delivering exceptional customer service on a daily basis.
Your key responsibilities in this position will include:
- Production of a range of five different types of homemade pies.
- Stock rotation and date control to ensure zero department wastage.
- As a Counter Assistant you will have good product knowledge and offer high standards of customer service. You will be able to gain a good understanding of stock control processes and procedures.
- You will be customer driven, organised and be an excellent communicator.
