Applications are invited for an opportunity to join the dynamic Stroke Team at Musgrove Park Hospital in Taunton.

We are a high-performing service, as evidenced by our National (SSNAP) audit results which have consistently been amongst the highest overall in the South-West for the past few years.

There is an active general medicine, geriatric medicine & stroke teaching programme. There are opportunities to get involved in our portfolio of multi-centre stroke research trials.


You will be an integral member of the Stroke Team at Musgrove Park Hospital which comprises 4 consultants and 1 associate specialist, SHO & foundation trainees, clinical fellows, Specialist stroke & research practitioners.


You will work with the senior stroke team to provide, to a high standard, the full range of specialist diagnosis, treatment and care to patients requiring stroke services.

This includes specialty outpatient clinics, consultant-led thrombolysis assessment and delivery, daily hyperacute stroke unit ward rounds & daily acute unit ward rounds (Monday to Friday).
