Assystem are an Award-Winning International Engineering Design Consultancy who provide innovative and cutting-edge solutions. We have a number of UK based offices and a significant, loyal client base.
As our reputation for proficient delivery of complex projects grows even stronger, we have a need for a Senior Planner to join the team in Whitehaven.
Senior Planner The Role:
As our Planning Engineer you will be responsible for providing planning services to the project manager and integrated team for various projects including where relevant, input and coordination of sub consultants' programmes to ensure delivery is consistent and effective.
Specific responsibilities:
- Provide an effective planning and reporting service to project managers and sponsors. Facilitate the production of the project WBS.
- Prepare, monitor and forecast baseline and working schedules during all project phases including input during the estimating and tendering phases.
- Establish and maintain a basis of schedule for all schedules produced. Ensure all applicable schedule activities have 'rules of credit' and 'quantity tracking' mechanisms established.
- Identify and track all changes or potential changes to the project baseline and subsequent underpinning of change control mechanisms A full job specification is available.
MY PROFILE
Your background:
You will be fully conversant with Planning Software Tools (Primavera P6), Microsoft Excel & Word.
You'll be competent in Earned Value Management and Reporting and have previous expertise in the analysis of project risk and estimating uncertainty.
You will have proven commercial awareness (e.g. planning requirements, change control / compensation events / cost control) & be able to work effectively both individually and as a team.ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Security clearance:
Due to the nature of work to be undertaken applicants will be required to meet certain residency criteria in order to attain a minimum level of UK security clearance if not already security cleared to a minimum SC level.
