Auction Room Labourer - 2 positions

1 position - Main place of work Derby with occasional days working at Bakewell

1 Position to alternate between Derby and Bakewell

Bamfords is a family run business and since its formation in 2002 has grown in size and reputation.

Based in two very different Derbyshire locations our salerooms offer one thing in common, a great service and a fun antiques buying or selling experience.

Our Derby Auction House is set alongside the A52, it offers three salerooms and nine departments, all under one roof.

Our Rowsley Saleroom just outside Bakewell in the Peak District National Park is thought to be the only auction house located in an out of town shopping centre.

We have an excellent opportunity for an intelligent, hardworking and committed individual to work within a fast paced auction house business.

We are currently looking for an auction room labourer to work in our Derby saleroom. This role is to support our auction staff.

Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to: moving auction lots within the building, ensuring that all auction lots are properly located at all times, unpacking clients goods for sale, preparing and monitoring the auction room during public viewings, assisting with pre and post-sale procedures as well as other general tasks assigned to you to keep the premises and buildings tidy and maintained.

Additional opportunities may include assisting with saleroom events at Derby and Rowsley.

As any other Bamfords employee you will be responsible for your own safety in the workplace as well as others.

You will also be familiar with safeguarding the security and confidentiality of information at all times and comply with the Data Protection Act.

Flexibility to vary work hours and work as part of a team where necessaryMust be trustworthy and reliable. Must be legally entitled to work in the UK. Should cope with a demanding role and have a good employment track record. Experience of working to tight deadlines.

Must be flexible and able to travel to our branch in Rowsley, Bakewell.

Job Type:
The job is Full-time. Salary - salary will reflect experience and skill levels.

Week

Monday, Thursday, Friday 9am to 5.30am; Tuesday 9am to 6pm; Wednesday 9am to 6.30pm (Daily breaks 2 x 15 minute breaks and 1 x 30 minute break)

Additional Information: Occasional weekend work required as and when to suit the needs of the business.

Licence/Certification:

Full UK driving licence
