Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust was one of 14 NHS Trusts selected to participate in the Pathway to Excellence programme as part of the Chief Nursing Officer for England's vision to establish a model for collective leadership, research and innovation.

Pathway to Excellence celebrates and recognises the essential contribution that nurses and midwives provide to high quality, evidence based patient care.


We started our Pathway to Excellence journey in 2020, but our plans were put on hold due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

We are now in a position to recruit substantively to the post of Senior Nurse, Pathway to Excellence Lead to drive this programme and realise our ambition of achieving accreditation in 2024.


This is an exciting opportunity to lead a programme of sustainable organisational change that recognises nursing and midwifery excellence at the organisation, and creates a positive practice environment for both staff and patients.


To develop, lead and implement the various work streams that incorporate the Pathway to Excellence programme, including gaining successful accreditation.
