Bolton Swim School is looking for a permanent receptionist to join our team We are looking for one receptionist to do both shifts:

Saturday 12:15pm - 5:15pm

Sunday 8:45am - 1:15pm (extending to 4:15pm gradually over the new few months)

Initially the receptionist will start with the Sunday shift and providing the 6 week probation period is successfully completed, the Saturday shift will the start from the end of May/early June. _

Canon Slade School & Sharples High School, Bolton


We require a minimum
commitment of 12 months

Training will be provided - some in person at our pools and a zoom session before starting on the 23rd of April.

Key Tasks

• Greeting and welcoming all customers, new and regular, on arrival.
• Register swimmer's attendance.
• Develop thorough knowledge of the registers and class times.
• Help customers with enquiries such as moving lesson times and collecting certificates/badges.
• Collect card payments.
• Deliver a thorough and positive onboarding experience for new customers.
• Successfully carry out management requests.
• Ensure our health and safety guidelines are adhered to at all times.
• Provide a safe and secure environment for swimmers and their parents in our pool area and changing rooms.
• Ensure all work areas are presented and managed to the highest level at all times.

Key Skills Required

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills all customers should receive a positive and friendly service each time they visit us. You will also be talking to our swimming teachers regularly so helpful and friendly communication skills will be required to ensure positive team morale.
• Sound problem solving and strategic thinking skills to handle customer enquiries and complaints.

• Adaptable and flexible

• When faced with obstacles, you will have the ability to react quickly. Stress will not prevent you from making the right decisions for the team and company.
• You will need to enjoy working with children our swimmers can be 2 years old all the way up to 16 years old. You will be speaking to their parents regularly but ensuring our swimmers are happy, will be part of everyone's role at our swim school.
