You will:

  • This role will work cross functionally in the Finance department and have the opportunity to gain broad finance experience and training whilst studying towards professional qualifications. This individual will be expected to execute processes with diligence and attention to detail as well as to utilise their own unique view to enhance the quality of the operational finance environment.
  • Daily cash management and cash flow forecasting built in Google Sheets / Microsoft Excel, including foreign exchange to ensure our subsidiaries are appropriately funded
  • Maintenance and development of periodic liquidity risk monitoring and reporting
  • Ongoing maintenance of bank mandates, administration and banking relationships
  • Ensure bills are accurately recorded and prepare weekly payment runs to ensure suppliers are paid on time
  • Building and maintaining stakeholder relationships with internal budget owners and external vendors and ensure any questions or issues are resolved promptly
  • Responsible for reconciling cash transactions in our bank accounts to our internal records, both during the month and as part of the monthend close process
  • Support with accruals, prepayments and the preparation of audit standard monthly balance sheet reconciliations
  • Working closely with our Senior Financial Accountant to maintain intercompany accounting records
  • Ownership of Finance KPI framework & reporting and monitoring
  • Support the wider Finance team with a range of business processes and tasks when required

About you:

  • 12 years of experience in a similar Finance role and are studying or want to start studying for your professional qualifications either: ACCA, CIMA or ACT.
  • You have strong excel/ IT skills and are interested in learning new systems.
  • You have a high level understanding of Finance risks and processes, and are keen to develop your technical skills.
  • You are a proactive person at work and have a strong sense of ownership
  • You can work independently and thrive in a fastpaced working environment where you can act on, and share ideas.
  • You have a structured and systematic way of working, as well as excellent time management.
  • You have strong attention to detail.
  • You are passionate about Finance and are keen to help and support the team and wider business with project work.
  • Equally capable of delivering independent work with a large degree of self sufficiency as well as collaborating as part of the wider team.
