1 Mission We're on the hunt for someone who can help unburden our Chief Executive Officer and assume the wider role of an

Office Manager:
overseeing practice regulatory compliance, culture development and day-to-day practice administration.

Whether working with clients,suppliers, or our internal team, we're after someone who will keep the team organised and who communicates a desire to help with absolute integrity.


2 What outcomes are we after?- Someone so reliably organised that our CEO will trust you and feel burdens released from his shoulders

  • A business savvy approach of sharing responsibility with the CEO for the health and welfare of the business including administration support towards the Brand, business marketing, Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool, management of Content for marketing/socialmedia/website and business development initiatives.
  • Fluent communication to clients and prospects, aligned with the trusted advisor approach of the CEO
  • The business is regulated by the institute of Chartered Accountants (ICAEW) thus emanating compliance requirements that require management including (amongst others) antimoney laundering, GDPR and Professional Indemnity (PI) Insurance.
  • Providing bookkeepingand accounting services to some of our smaller clients. working with them as required.
Support will be given for training and in gaining recognised accounting qualifications if required

  • Supporting the business with onboarding clients
  • Providing administrative support undergirding our client account management procedures
  • Someone willing to help with the articulation and development of our company culture

3 What are the core competencies we need?- High attention to detail and the ability to double check work against a variety of data sources

  • Ability to bring personal encouragement and laughter to the CEO and the practice
  • An attitude of loyalty and covering the back of the CEO and practice when dealing with matters.
  • Ability to prioritise workload: keeping multiple plates spinning at once
  • A positive attitude and a willingness to help with a wide range of tasks from all aspects of the business
  • A clear communicator, both written and spoken

4 Background of the role:

Green Caterpillar was started with theaim of providing finance director and finance function support to CEOs with an entrepreneurial spirit alongside social impact enterprises providing small to medium businesses with the Finance support and services they need to succeed.

We offer fully flexible remote working with the founder and CEO operating in the greater Cambridge and London areas.

Demand for our services is growing despite the current economic outlook. Our team of specialists head up the accounting teams that support individual clients on behalf of the founder.


We need someone with an eye for detail and anticipation of need to help take on some of the accounting team workload, to release the founder to do the work he should be doing.

We need someone well-organised that will delight customers and support the developmentof the practice.


With our commitment to flexibility, this post is open to someone initially starting at 0.6 FTE, potentially growing into full time.

Save for very occasional meetings with clients, the work is performed remotely. We have developed the whole business modelbased on remote working and the financial processes in place support this. Our culture is developed such that you can thrive in this environment. Our range of clients provide an interesting and varied workload on a flexible hour's basis.
