Activities Coordinator £12.08

Hours: 40 hours per week


We are currently recruiting for a full time Activities Coordinator to join our beautiful residential and nursing home in Southdowns Nursing Home.

Flexibility will be required at times to suit the needs of business.


To be successful in this post you will need to be able to:

  • Identify residents' activity needs and wishes through discussion, assessment and observation, and produce a varied programme based on these findings
  • Explore the most appropriate methods and resources for meeting activity needs, including group events and individual sessions, involving internal and external sources and involving communitybased resources
  • Organise theme and fundraising events as required, based on local holidays, traditions etc
  • Organise outings as appropriate, giving consideration to safety needs and staffing requirements and Covid19 regulations
  • Manage monthly activity budgets for entertainment, materials and outings in accordance with Company procedures
  • Ensure risk assessments have been carried out on all activities and outings

You will also need to be highly organised and have strong communication skills.


You will need the following skills and qualities:

  • Experience of working in a similar role is essential
  • Have a strong interest in working in elderly care services and a desire to make a difference
  • Be reliable and have a flexible approach to your working pattern
Our home provides care on a 24 hour basis, 7 days a week including weekends and bank holidays. This means we need reliable and flexible staff working within our services.
