Merchandiser - Boston - £30k-£35k
Benjamin Edwards are recruiting for a Merchandiser at an established business.

This role will be well suited to you if you have held a role within materials, forecasting or inventory management as inventory controller, forecast analyst, demand planner, demand planning manager, demand planning analyst, demand forecaster, planning manager or supply chain analyst.

The role of the Merchandiser

Provide support for everything from stock level reviews through to weekly, seasonal and ad hoc reporting, with a view of maximising profitability, analysing every aspect of bestsellers and ensure they reach their full potential
Responsible for monitoring slow sellers and taking action to reduce prices or set promotions as necessary
Play a key role in forecasting sales, stock levels and margins and proactively identify opportunities and risks at category and line level and will develop a clear understanding of Range Planning for both UK and overseas ranges
Work alongside the buyer to identify opportunities and make recommendations on commitment and will ensure that company always has the right stock, in the right place, at the right time
May attend the buying meetings, both onsite and at the suppliers' offices
Help to develop the buying assistants and ensure that they grow as the company grows
Collate, interpret and summarise data to clearly articulate recommendations that aid key commercial decisions
Work closely with Buyers to ensure range, price and supply is optimised
Work closely with all functions to ensure the launch of new lines and promotions land right first time
Constant review of existing processes to drive positive change and ways of working
Manage a high number of tasks and ascertain priorities to achieve competing deadlines whilst always retaining a focus on profitability
Along with the Buyer and Design functions, be accountable for the progression of the range, both in the UK and internationally, using sales analysis and feedback from external parties
Ensure forecasts reflect seasonal profile and are in line with campaign activity
Support senior management, the buying team, E Commerce, field staff and other key stakeholders by providing relevant and accurate data to inform decision making
Proven track record and experience at Merchandiser level
Advanced Excel skills a must
