REPORTS TO:
Senior Press Team Leader/ Operations Manager

ROLE DESCRIPTION:

To Coordinate and lead the Press cell/operators and coordinate FLT teams so that WIP and Material are available according to Plan.

To Manage safety, quality, cost, and ensure production targets are met, and be responsible for the direct support/management of the press team.

MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES

Support the planning, training & development of all production operators.
Support monitoring and communication cost control
Support quality, cost, and delivery performance of the operations team
Support the Senior Team Leader & Operations Manager with holiday and absence planning/management.
To ensure all Operatives are working to plan and machinery is running within their area.
Assist Senior Team Leader & Operations Manager, to ensure no Production Operatives are waiting around for jobs to be issued or queries to be addressed.
To supervise, motivate and train Production Operatives to support them in their role
To be the point of call for quality, stock and any production or people issues with the aim to resolve in a timely manner or to escalate to the Senior Team Leader / Management team when needed.

QUALIFICATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

Essential:

Good management skills
Ability to promote innovation across all working areas
Effective communication skills
Highly motivated with the ability to motivate others.
Engineering and production expertise with experience in supervising personnel in a busy environment
Understanding of NAV processes
Ability to support change.
An understanding of lean and continuous improvement principles
A working knowledge of production activities on site
Good team working skills.
