More about your role


As a Housing Officer you will have responsibility for the day-to-day management of tenancies within your area, including estate management, dealing with anti-social behaviour, and advising on tenancy issues.

You will act as the first point of contact for our customers, responding to various queries including antisocial behaviour incidents or breaches of tenancy.

This can include instigating legal action or taking advice from external partners including solicitors, police and local authorities.


You will manage a portfolio of mixed tenure properties including inspections, building strong customer relationships and explaining the services that we provide including lease obligations, exchanges and successions.

In line with Derwent's Allocation Policy you will facilitate a quick turn around on the lettings on empty properties with the aim of encouraging balanced communities and build sustainable estates by interviewing applicants where appropriate


You will be responsible for travelling to our tenancies in the East Midlands area including Derby, Nottingham and surrounding areas.


Please note:

This is an Agile role, you will be working from home, however you will be visiting sites within your area.



The role is Fixed term until April 2024 and is part time working three days a week.

More about you
To be considered in this role you will be able to clearly demonstrate excellent teamwork and communication skills.

This role is fast paced with constant competing priorities, you will be able to effectively demonstrate strong time management skills.

Exposure to antisocial behaviour and an understanding on managing this would be advantageous. However, this is something that you will be supported on.


You will work as part of a team and have a "can do" approach when responding to customers, colleagues and external partners.

You will have the ability to be empathetic with our customers and their situations when necessary and will take a pro-active approach to problem solving.


A full driving licence and access to a car is essential - paid mileage allowance.
