Director of Facilities

All College sites

£75,180 - £93,234 per annum, inclusive of London Allowance


We're now looking for a Director of Facilities to lead and manage the facilities and property services at South Thames Colleges Group.


Working with the Deputy CEO, you will have lead responsibility for the development, use and management of College facilities and property to ensure the provision of consistent and high quality services to students, staff and other stakeholders.


You will regularly self-assess the provision of facilities services, in accordance with Group procedures, and seek to continuously improve the facilities available to students and staff.

As budget holder with responsibility for all income and expenditureassociated with the facilities and property services, you will ensure compliance with financial monitoring procedures, planning systems and regulations and procedures and seek to continually achieve value for money for service procurement and delivery.

Youwill manage capital expenditure and property disposal projects associated with facilities and property developments and carry out project management responsibilities.


As our Director of Facilities, you will have significant experience of managing a wide-ranging building facilities function at both a strategic and operational level and have extensive building project management experience, including working with a professionalteam and capital project funders.

Able to promote and ensure good practice, you will have highly developed communication, interpersonal and prioritisation skills and be able communicate effectively at multiple levels within and outside of the College.


We would also like you to hold a Facilities Management or Building related qualification as well as a Health & Safety qualification (or agree to acquire such qualifications).
