The care of patients on the wards, in the theatres and at out-patient clinics as appropriate to the grade of the post and under the direction of the consultants responsible.
Registrar will rotate through 2 sub-specialty firms and participate in theatres, clinics, ward rounds and ward cover.
This whole-time post is based at the West Wing, John Radcliffe Hospital with occasional visits to peripheral outpatient clinics in the region.
So far as is consistent with the proper discharge of the above duties the postholder undertakes to deputise from time to time for absent colleagues.
Practitioners will be prepared to perform duties in occasional emergencies and unforeseen circumstances without additional remuneration but may be granted time off in lieu at the discretion of the Trust.
Commitments arising in such circumstances however are exceptional and practitioners should not be required to undertake work of this kind for prolonged periods or on a regular basis.
The Trust comprises four hospitals - the John Radcliffe Hospital, Churchill Hospital and Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre in Headington and the Horton General Hospital in Banbury.

Operating sessions
Attendance at ward rounds and routine ward work
Outpatient clinics
This whole-time post is based at the West Wing, John Radcliffe Hospital with occasional visits to peripheral outpatient clinics in the region.
