As a
Field Service Engineer for this growing company, you'll install, service, and repair world class Ophthalmic Diagnostic medical equipment across the North UK.


  • As a Field Service Engineer, following excellent training, you'll install, update, service and repair premium brand Ophthalmic Diagnostic imaging systems including optical coherence tomography (OCT), retinal screening fundus cameras, tonometers and PACSsolutions in eyecare hospitals and clinics across the North UK.
  • You'll support customers including Consultant Ophthalmologists, Eye Doctors, Ophthalmic Nurses, Imaging Technicians, Clinical Engineers and EBME.
  • Visiting customer sites across the North UK with an average of 23 nights away from home per week (no overtime or weekend work).

REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience as a technical support specialist, field service engineer, clinical engineer, imaging technician or similar, responsible for installing, maintaining and repairing IT networked medical equipment, and software installation.
  • In addition, selfmotivated, hardworking, well organised, reliable and independent. Well presented, with clear and confident communication skills.
  • Desirable: optical coherence tomography (OCT), ophthalmic imaging equipment e.g. retinal cameras / fundus cameras, ophthalmoscopy, etc., ideally with PACS / DICOM / HL
  • Ideally HNC / HND or degree qualified in Electronic or Biomedical Engineering, Computer Science or similar.
  • Based in the North of England, suitable locations include Manchester, Liverpool, Preston, Leeds, Bradford, Sheffield, Hull, York, Middlesbrough, Newcastle. Other Northern England locations considered.

PACKAGE

  • Salary guide: £3538,500 depending on experience plus bonus, company van, mobile phone, laptop, annual leave, pension, etc.
