    Job Description

    The BBC is looking for a Line Producer for its popular continuing drama, Casualty. The show balances gritty realism with high drama and is filmed and produced out of Roath Lock studios in Cardiff.

    The successful candidate will be responsible for building and nurturing strong relationships across all departments, taking a lead in balancing creative aspirations with financial and resource constraints, and ensuring the production team understands and carries out responsibilities for ensuring all programmes meet copyright, legal, commercial rights, metadata management and delivery requirements.

    Key responsibilities include managing, updating and reworking the budget, drafting, negotiating and managing overall production plans/schedules and operational logistics, and driving forward strategies on new ways of working for a BBC Drama.

    Requirements

    • Experience as a Production Manager or Line Producer working on scripted/drama content
    • Experience of reconciling artistic aspiration with financial constraint
    • Thorough knowledge of the production process, including studio/location, live/pre-recorded processes, craft roles and facility/technical requirements

    The role requires enthusiasm, interest and knowledge of Casualty, as well as willingness and ability to be based in Cardiff for the duration of the contract.
