Description
STEM recruitment solutions have a great opportunity for a Packaging Technologist for our client based in North Lanarkshire.


You should have an understanding of packaging development process be a strong technical partner and have the ability to evaluate designs and construction for packaging as well as overseeing the design process.


Duties will include:

  • Lead the introduction of new packaging and amendments to existing packaging materials.
  • Provide technical packaging expertise internally and externally, identifying, investigating, testing, trailing, and resolving both potential and actual issues.
  • Ensure Packaging formats are investigated and evaluated to develop high quality, technically robust packaging through its life cycle.
  • Identifies packaging related sustainability, innovation opportunities, keeping the business up to date with a range of technological alternatives.
  • Identifying and implementation of valued engineering opportunities, material standardisation, waste, and production process improvement opportunities.
  • Work with graphic designers and suppliers on artwork development and provide expertise for realisation showing sound knowledge of printing processes used on various components and substrates.

Full-time, Permanent


Salary:
£35,000.00-£40,000.00 per year


Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Airdrie: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
