Development Finance Underwriter

£35,000 - £60,000 + Bonuses + Hybrid Working

Manchester City Centre


Key Responsibilities for the Development Finance Underwriter / Credit Risk

  • Support the design & implementation of the lenders strategy in development finance.
credit proposals for presentation to Sanctioning Committee.

  • Proactively manage all transactions from credit assessment through sanction to
completion including documentation formalities and stage wise drawdowns.

  • Operational responsibility for the annual review process of owned credit portfolio loans
to ensure that all borrowing requirements and covenants are being adhered to.

  • Manage the review, assessment, investigation and minimising of credit risks associated
Undertake site visits as required.

  • Monitoring of existing loan portfolio, identifying early arrears or potential problem
accounts and making necessary recommendations.

  • Ensure the credit decisions are made within regulatory standards and adhere to TCF
principles and Customer First standards.

  • To provide support to the Chief Credit Officer in all operational areas of
Development Finance in the Credit Department.

  • Presentation to Credit Committee and other respective committees( Such as CWG

Skills/ Experience Required for the Development Finance Underwriter / Credit Risk

  • Min 2 years of experience in Development finance
  • Advanced technical skills and experience in the structuring of Development Finance
Transactions to achieve best outcomes for customers

  • Proven track record of underwriting development finance deals in a commercial banking,
