We are seeking an Assistant Project Manager for our Government client based in Corsham. This role will be office based 3 -4 Days per week and the remainder remote. The Assistant Project Manager role will be an initial contract until Feb 2024, paying between£300 - £350/Day Inside IR35.
This role is inside IR3- Due to the service of the role it will now be based on an Umbrella solution.

Role Profile:
- In this role, you will join a small highperforming team as Project Manager, delivering a project expected to exceed £10 million. The project is well established, and your role will be to ensure that it continues to deliver, as well as building its outputsin support of major capabilities which will be delivered over the next 10 years. You will have significant influence over the tempo and processes of the project and will work with organisations across and outside of the organisation to deliver the requiredoutputs
- While you will have clearly defined responsibilities, the agile nature of the project provides scope for learning and growing as a project manager as the project progresses towards and beyond Full Operating Capability. Additionally, you will be developingand delivering assurance activities across a wider programme exceeding £1bn, supporting key capabilities which are at the very heart of the organisation.
- Project Management
- Day to day management and input to all project outputs
- Stakeholder Management
- Identify record and manage key stakeholders and develop and maintain effective relationships across and outside of the organisation
- Risks and Issues
- Identify and monitor project risks and issues. Develop mitigating actions and escalate as appropriate
- Governance
- Provide key reports and support effective governance and decision making
- Change Management
- Ensure effective Change Management processes are in place to agree and document changes to deliverables as agreed with stakeholders
- Contract Management
- Oversee contracts ensuring quality of delivery against the requirements
- Schedule Management
- Create, maintain and update schedules ensuring coherence with all other programme deliverables
- Business Cases
- Write business and commitment cases for approval
- Maintain and expand the regime of assurance activities conducted across the wider programme
- Provide advice and guidance to related projects and programmes
- Report on risks and issues identified across the wider programme in order to instigate beneficial change
