Job Summary
Multi-Skilled Tradesman (Heavy Focus on Painting & Decorating) Required for Large House Renovation near woking, surrey.
Start: ASAP / Flexible within next few weeks
Duration: Weekend work or week day. Several months of work.
Rate: Competitive daily rate £250–£325 (negotiable based on experience and multi-trade capability) + possible completion bonus.
We are looking for a reliable, experienced multi-skilled tradesman (or small team) to support a major private house renovation project.
The project involves extensive painting and decorating throughout (internal walls, ceilings, woodwork, specialist finishes if experienced), alongside other core renovation tasks. This is not a small job—expect a varied, high-quality domestic refurb on a substantial property.
Key areas of work (priority order):
- Painting & decorating – full internal redecoration, preparation, priming, multiple coats, cutting in, roller/brush work, potential external if required
- Plastering, skimming, dry-lining & repairs
- Tiling (walls, floors, splashbacks)
- Carpentry & joinery (first & second fix, doors, skirting, architraves, minor bespoke work)
- General building preparation & finishing
- Minor demolition & site tidying
- Basic plumbing repairs/alterations (limited scope – not major installations)
- Basic electrical support (first-fix assistance or coordination with qualified electrician – no full wiring/NICEIC work required)
- Problem-solving, maintenance & finishing touches
Ideal candidate:
- Strong background in painting & decorating (essential – recent examples preferred)
- Competent multi-trader with experience in domestic/period property renovations
- Own high-quality tools, van/transport, dust sheets, etc.
- CSCS card (or equivalent) preferred; full UK driving licence & right to work
- Tidy, respectful, punctual, and able to work independently or with specialists
- Good communication and attention to detail for high-end finishes
- References from similar large renovation projects essential
This is hands-on, full-time work on an interesting private residence renovation—ideal for a skilled all-rounder who excels at preparation and finishing (especially painting) and wants consistent, long-term involvement rather than short jobs.To apply:
