  • We have a fantastic opportunity to join Estates leadership group, as an Estates Team Leader in the Central Hub.

If you are a strong and experienced leader with a desire to be challenged and a passion for developing high performing teams this is the role that you have been looking for.

Your role as a team leader will be varied and diverse.

Working with and supported by the Estates Operations Manager and Senior Surveyors you will lead a dispersed team of professional surveyors and project support officers who are often working away from the office helping to protect and enhance our environment through their important work.

You'll be responsible for performance management, HS&W and ensuring that your team are receiving the vital support, development, and motivation to enable them to excel in their roles.

Engaging with area leadership teams and external stakeholders, managing the delivery of your business plan, and seeking innovative and consistent approaches to our delivery will also be part this exciting new role.

You will have a collaborative "can-do" attitude and commitment to creating an inclusive culture.
Responding to incidents is a central part of what we do.

You will be required to have an incident role and make yourself available to respond to incidents or provide business continuity support during an incident.

This may attract an additional payment and full training and alternative working arrangements will be available to support you with your incident role.

The team- The Central Estates Hub is a team of 17 surveyors of varying levels of experience and support staff offering professional Estates advice for land, compensation and valuation matters across the East and West Midlands, Lincolnshire and Northamptonshire.

We sit within a function 125 strong providing national coverage and offering opportunity to share best practice and specialist knowledge.

We will play a key delivery role in enabling us to meet our ambitious Net Zero target.

  • We are looking for dynamic, highly motivated people who love a challenge. A knowledge of surveying is not necessary but what is essential is transferable leadership skills along with your ability to inspire and motivate people. As is your ability to build and retain strong relationships.

As a strong people leader, you will be able to demonstrate your ability of performance management to drive desired behaviours and improvements within your team.

Good influencing skills will be essential, your experience will evidence how you can influence others of all levels within and outside of your own team to ensure the delivery of desired outcomes.

You can evidence your broad experience of decision making and problem solving for the delivery of team activities through prioritisation against operational and organisational priorities.

is a dispersed team therefore some national travel will be required. This role is in the Central hub where the team is located across several offices. Some travel will be required between the offices in your hub to support your team.

Your development is important, you will be encouraged to join an apprenticeship programme to gain accreditation in Leadership and Management.
