Senior Asset Surveyor - temporary contract up to 12 months:
Job description

Tenant Services owns and manages over 5000 homes across Stroud District, the team was shortlisted for "The Best Local Authority or Social Housing Retrofit Programme" and highly commended for their efforts in retrofitting our housing stock which supports sustainable and energy efficient homes.


We are seeking a Senior Asset Surveyor to join the team who is passionate about customer service, with a strong professional outlook and focus on ensuring Investment Programmes are completed on time, and to the required standard.

You will also have strong management skills, commercial and financial awareness, be passionate about the Built Environment, possess the necessary drive and skill set and be fully conversant with Building Pathology.


Key responsibilities will include:


  • Oversee the Planned Maintenance Team in terms of recruitment, training, support and regular 121s
  • To be responsible for the technical, diagnostic and contract administration processes
  • Responsible for ensuring all contracts are delivered efficiently and effectively against agreed performance targets
  • Ensure a consistent approach to contract management
  • Achieve and promote Value for Money
  • Exercise budgetary and effective financial management controls
  • To assist with the procurement of contractors and suppliers
  • To support the Asset Data Team in ensuring all property related asset data is collated.
  • Ensuring Health and Safety procedures are being adhered to on site


A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes is essential, and you'll need to demonstrate a real passion to provide excellent customer service.
