You will be joining a dynamic and flexible team within Road Maintenance, with the opportunity to work from home with some office attendance in line with the Council's Hybrid working model.


In this exciting role you will be responsible for the effective and efficient provision of a road works control service.

You will undertake the daily operation of the Scottish Road Works Register, issuing notices, coordinating works and monitoring compliance with regulations.

You will assist with the preparation and collation of relevant information and income generation.

You will support by issuing road works instructions and ensuring all duties and responsibilities are fulfilled in terms of the requirements of the New Roads and Street Works Act 1991.

You will be able to demonstrate experience of working in a relevant environment and knowledge of relevant legislation.

You will have experience of providing administration to a high standard and in dealing with enquiries from the public and other organisations.

Ideally you will also hold an HNC, or equivalent level qualification in a relevant discipline.

You will be able to adapt to new technologies that help to improve service delivery and the customer experience.

You will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of quality services to our citizens and communities and you will promote the Council's vision, values and reputation.


You will be self-motivated with a flexible and collaborative approach to work and have the ability to cope with multiple and changing demands whilst meeting tight deadlines.


With excellent organisational and IT skills, you will be able to utilise various Microsoft Office packages, and be a clear written and verbal communicator, with the ability to analyse information and clearly communicate with customers, contractors and other stakeholders.

£25,980.00-£28,635.00 per year
