Senior Care AssistantResponsibilities:
- Provide personal care and support to elderly residents in a compassionate and respectful manner
- Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Administer medications according to prescribed schedules and document all medication administration accurately
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure and temperature
- Assist with mobility and transfers, using proper lifting techniques and equipment as needed
- Plan and participate in recreational activities to promote socialization and mental stimulation
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents, including regular housekeeping tasks
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure the highest level of care
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Care Assistant in a senior care facility or similar setting
- Knowledge of elderly care practices and principles
- Familiarity with medication administration protocols
- Ability to handle emergency situations calmly and efficiently
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
