Senior Care Assistant


Responsibilities:


  • Provide personal care and support to elderly residents in a compassionate and respectful manner
  • Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
  • Administer medications according to prescribed schedules and document all medication administration accurately
  • Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure and temperature
  • Assist with mobility and transfers, using proper lifting techniques and equipment as needed
  • Plan and participate in recreational activities to promote socialization and mental stimulation
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents, including regular housekeeping tasks
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure the highest level of care

Experience:


  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Care Assistant in a senior care facility or similar setting
  • Knowledge of elderly care practices and principles
  • Familiarity with medication administration protocols
  • Ability to handle emergency situations calmly and efficiently
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
