We're looking for a
Reinstatement
Operative to join our Utilities, South West Water team no days are the same.

Within this role, you will be responsible for co-ordinating and ensuring that all work is carried out safely and to programme.

Kier Utilities brings the built environment to life, keeping people and businesses connected.

In this role, you will be working on our South West Water contract, where we work on repairs and maintenance services to provide reliable, efficient, and high-quality drinking water and wastewater services.


In the role of Reinstatement Operative, you will work closely in a team and other colleagues to work on schemes including mains laying, pressure management, district metering and large and complex mains repairs.

Based from our Bournemouth depot


Contract:
Permanent - Full time


Responsibilities
As a Reinstatement Operative for the South West Water team your day-to-day will include:

  • Responsible for operating to standards of safety, compliance & competence required by own professional qualifications.
  • Carry out general reinstatement work as instructed by the Team Leader and/or FLM.
  • Ensure all work complies with relevant Safety, Health and Environmental legislation, business policy & procedure and local instruction & guidance.
  • Ensure full and correct use of vehicles, plant and materials, keeping wastage to a minimum.
  • Any adhoc duties that may occur as instructed by the management team or team leader / ganger.

Who are we looking for?

  • Full UK Driving Licence is required
  • Previous Utilities experience is beneficial
  • It would also be beneficial to hold relevant CSCS/ CPSC & NRSWA cards, along with utility experience, but not essential as we will provide full training and development
