Role Description

Job Purpose

  • Business process owner of Sales and Operations Execution (S&OE) planning across UK
  • Manufactured and Traded / Imported supply planning, translating strategic plans from the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) horizon into efficient deployment across the supply network to deliver world class service delivery.
  • This includes implementing continuous process improvement and driving overall product supply reliability to Customers underpinned by ensuring all crossfunctional inputs to support the process are fit for purpose.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Partner with Head of S&OP and Head of Demand Planning to translate longterm planning into efficient execution
  • Business process owner of all Supply strategy within the S&OE horizon (012 months) driving least cost deployment whilst enabling world class Customer service
  • Leadership of Master Production Schedulers (MPS) across all business categories
  • Optimize the tradeoffs between service, revenue, net margin, cash flow and cost
  • Lead periodic crossfunctional Supply Planning reviews in current financial year across product categories
  • Lead weekly Integrated Planning (IP) process
  • Lead, develop and implement a Supply Planning process that delivers optimum asset and capacity utilization across owned and 3rd party manufacturing networks
  • Partner with Head of Operations category leads to drive least cost manufacturing
  • Partner with Head of Logistics to ensure efficient warehousing & transport execution within capacity limits
  • Owner of inventory health to deliver working capital business targets
  • Partner with Head of Customer Services to ensure Customer segmentation is reflected into planning logic and Customer supply expectations are exceeded
  • Support the annual budget build process with recommendations to remove waste
  • Effective management of Innovation into and out of the Supply Chain underpinned by robust ABC analysis to optimize the portfolio
  • Ensure SAP APO system is maintained with best practice leveraged across business categories

Role Requirements

Knowledge/ Skills

  • Prior experience of both S&OP and S&OE processes essential this could include significant experience as a practitioner or experience leading improvement or implementation
  • Deep functional knowledge of Supply/Demand Planning roles
  • Knowledge of Factory scheduling systems and capacity planning models
  • Proficient using analysis tools such as PowerBI, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Project Management experience on large scale transformation from planning to execution and review
  • Expert knowledge of SAP APO planning systems
  • Experience of working in the FMCG Packaging Goods sector
  • Degree level qualified
