An exciting opportunity has risen for a Health care support worker to join the team at Uned Gobaith.

The mother and baby unit is the only inpatient facility in Wales supporting women and their families during pregnancy and up to 1 year after birth.


As a Health care support worker working at Uned Gobaith you will be an integral part of the Multi Disciplinary Team.

You will be working alongside nursery nurses providing care to mentally unwell mothers and supporting them to care for their baby.

You will be sharing your knowledge with the team with regards to best practice and safe care.


The team prioritises women with serious and complex mental health needs including those who have experienced serious mental health episodes in the past and are currently well.


To work under the direction and supervision of qualified nursing staff in the provision of nursing care to individuals experiencing perinatal mental health problems throughout the 24 hour period.

The post holder will act on their own initiative when delivering patient care, but supervision from the qualified nurse will be available.

To support nursery nurses in the delivery of specific interventions with mother and her baby.
