Job Description:


Please note that this is a fixed term contract ending January 2024. Working hours are Monday to Friday from 09:00 till 17:00.


The purpose of this position will be to support the development of marketing strategies in order to enable the success of the marketing function.

Taking responsibility for specific marketing campaigns/projects and support the effective management of the marketing, advertising and promotional activities within the company.


Main duties to include:

  • Provide a high level of internal and external customer care.
  • To effectively promote and market the company's services and products to ensure the achievement of the overall business objectives.
  • To support the Commercial Director in the development of the company's marketing strategy, by way of advertising, promotion, public relations including social media and monitoring customer satisfaction.
  • To ensure that the Client Relationship Management (CRM) system and any other systems utilised by the company are maintained with up to date information and to generate reports from the system.
  • To organise promotional events such as trade shows and seminars and support the Commercial Team when representing the company at these events.
  • To work closely with Commercial Team in preparing promotional materials including fliers and datasheets which effectively represent the business activities and on developing marketing initiatives to generate new business.
  • To draw to the attention of the Directors and Managers cases of dissatisfaction for remedial action ensuring that such cases are followed through to a satisfactory conclusion.
  • Contribute to corporate/companywide projects as required such as HR and Public Analyst support.
  • Ensure all reasonable steps are taken to achieve accuracy and reliability of information.
  • To generate specific reports with conclusions with a high level of quality and technical competence.
  • Input to the Commercial Director on reporting, planning, budget and market intelligence.
  • To ensure that the company's websites and intranet sites are maintained with up to date information.
  • To ensure that the business is supported in the preparation of electronic newsletters and online surveys and reporting and monitoring of the feedback and effectiveness of these tools.
  • Assisting other Managers and Directors in participating in corporate projects when required.
  • Supporting new members of the Commercial Team on Marketing activities and CRM.
  • To input into the marketing budget, to generate purchase orders and maintain overall control of the budget.
  • To raise purchase orders and invoices when required.

Qualifications:


  • Marketing qualifications or working experience within a marketing role.
  • A passion to provide excellent customer service is essential.
  • Enthusiasm, energy and a driven outlook.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Maths, English, Chemistry or Biology at GCSE grade C or above or equivalent.
