Abstract Recruitment is looking for
Steel Fabrication Supervisor for our fantastic client who provides solutions for steel framing and pipework supports, working with various industrial and construction projects, worldwide.

Energy from Waste plants, Chemical, Oil & Gas, Data Centres, Pharmaceutical, and Building Services are examples of markets where client operates in.


You will be proactively involved in the fabrication process, making sure the most quick, efficient and mainstreamed procedures are in place.

Your Responsibilities

  • Overseeing manufacturing and production processes
  • Creating and executing production schedules
  • Reduce expenses and increase productivity across all the fabrication stages
  • Monitoring productivity standards and quality control
  • Assuring that the company's Health & Safety policy is followed
  • Liaising with the Engineering and Supply Chain teams to maintain the target lead times and stock levels.
  • Documenting the process and recording relevant files for each project
Your Profile

  • Production Management background (preferably in the automotive industry)
  • Ability to adhere to engineering drawings/plans for prefabrication
  • Experience with continuous improvement tools and methodologies
  • Leadership and people management skills and experience
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to coach and mentor team members
  • Intermediate or Advanced Microsoft Office user (mainly Excel) and ERP systems
  • Forklift Licences (preferential)
  • Driver Licence (preferential)
Package

  • Working hours: Monday to Friday (8am to 5pm)

Salary:
£30,000.00-£35,000.00 per year

  • Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:


  • MIG welding: 1 year (preferred)
  • Fabrication: 1 year (preferred)
