Maesmawr Hall Hotel is a historic country house that has recently been acquired by La Crisalida Wellness.

The property is a character Grade II listed building with a rich history as a manor house and has historically been a favorite venue for functions and short breaks surrounded by the magnificent Welsh countryside.

The property is currently being run as a hotel but is about to undergo a transformation.

La Crisalida run health and wellbeing retreats which offer guests from all over the world a superb all-inclusive retreat experience in our quiet and welcoming centres.

La Crisalida Retreats offers a holistic approach to health and wellbeing through our programme of activities that include yoga, life makeover workshops, meditation, rebounding and more, combined with tasty nutritious plant-based food and juices.

We are seeking an, experienced, friendly, professional, well-organized business administrator.

Reporting to the General Manager, the Business Administrator is responsible for assisting in the running of the retreat's admin and human resource's function.


The role is hands on, with an expectation to perform a wide variety of duties, staying organised and multi-tasking is critical.

The Business Administrator will support the employment health of the organization, monitoring employment details to ensure that legal requirements are met and staff holiday and nomina payments are processed correctly.

The Business Administrator must be aware of local and national employment laws and regulations that affect our industry.

Working alongside the general manager, the Business Administrator will be an exceptional multi-tasker, hands-on with company employment guidelines and have strong interpersonal skills.


Key Tasks:


  • Support General Manager and Retreat Owners and senior management team to find solutions to personnel challenges.
  • Assist with developing and implementing HR policies and procedures for the running of the retreat.
  • Embrace and enhance the reputation, appearance and integrity of the retreat by helping to create a work environment that engenders positive energy, creativity and teamwork among employees.
  • Attend HR and HOD meetings, followup all action points.

Essential Requirements:


  • Minimum 2years' experience working in a HR and admin function, ideally in a retreat or hotel environment.
  • Interested in the ethos and approach of La Crisalida Retreats to health and wellbeing.
  • Highly numerate, can create and analyse reports and financial information.
  • Critical thinker use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.

  • Active learner: understand the implications of new information for both current and future problemsolving and decisionmaking.

We are seeking to contract for initially a part-time position hours). Full time may be considered with wider administration skills.
