Repairs and maintenance operative required aprox 25hrs a week over 5 days 10am to 3pm.We are a small Tenants Management Co-operative established over 30 years.
We are based in Ordsall, Salford and we manage 106 Social housing properties. We are looking for someone to join our small team of part time staff to undertake our day to day repairs and maintain the surrounding area
You will be responsible for the day to day repairs that tenants may report to the office.
Examples of work would be leaking taps, tap replacements, leaks on toilets, topping up of boilers, problems with sinks, maybe some electrical work such as, replacing faulty socket, changing light bulbs, replacing security lights and smoke alarms, other work could involve small joinery work such as hanging internal doors, replacing door handles on UPVC doors, replacing window handles, there will also be work on the estate such as replacing fence posts, clearing and repairing gutters, keeping walkways clear of rubbish and weeds and some cyclical painting.
You will be responsible for completing the paperwork for all jobs, contacting and coordinating with outside contractors and overseeing the work where necessary.
The rate of pay will be scale point 10 to 12 which is in the range of £13.10/ £13.54 per hour
There is 28 day holiday + bank holiday
Sick pay (after 6 months employment) starting at 1 month full pay raising to 3 months full pay
