As part of the central Procurement Service and reporting into the Procurement Specialist, the Procurement Officer will be responsible for the delivery of a number of procurement activities across the Trust, Northumbria Healthcare Facilities Management and Northumbria Primary Care.


This role is the entry level post within our Contracting Team and will be supported and developed in learning across all of our service delivery to stakeholders.


The post will include an opportunity and expectation to undertake the professional qualification to the Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply Level 4.


The successful applicant(s) will demonstrate an ability to draw on a set of practical procurement skills and an aptitude for commercial business principles.


As a key member of our centralised Procurement Service, this role will focus on the delivery of a wide portfolio of focused procurement requirements with a supported approach from colleagues, including projects of both a capital & revenue nature, with value-based approach to benefits realisation.
