Overview
Eden Brown Synergy is working in partnership with North Lincolnshire Council, which is seeking to recruit a Head of Adult Mental Health And Disability on an interim basis.
The purpose of this is to have responsibility for the specialist adult mental health and disability social work and care services and be accountable for the operational delivery of the strategic direction, leadership and management to the teams within that portfolio.
This role is paying £43.14 per hour umbrella for 2 months initiallyYour role:
You will be accountable for the specialist adult social work and care offer for people with mental
health needs and disabilities across North Lincolnshire, developing innovative and creative options to deliver the ambitions of the Council Plan.
You will also ensure all statutory and regulatory obligations including from the Care Act, Mental Health Act (MHA) and Mental Capacity Act (MCA) are met and the functional areas, remain assured, safe and robust.
Additionally, you will be Accountable for MHA and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS)/Liberty Protection Safeguards (LPS) assurance systems including the Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP) function and Best Interest Assessors/Approved Mental Capacity Practitioners.
Person Specification.
- Level 5 management qualification, or equivalent knowledge, skills and experience with a willingness to work towards a formal qualification
- Excellent and proven track record in accountable management in a complex functional area.
- Experience and proven track record in working collaboratively to organise people and resources towards the effective and efficient achievement of council ambitions and outcomes.
- Skills and experience in translating national policy and legislation into local solutions.
- Knowledge of housing issues for people with complex needs and lives and the Making Every Adult Matter approach.
- Professional qualification in social work or a related field (e.g., Health) registration with appropriate professional body and evidence of ongoing continued professional development.
