    Job Title: Young Responders Facilitator

    We are seeking a passionate and empathetic individual to join our team as a Young Responders Facilitator.

    About Us

    St John Ambulance is a charity with a rich heritage and a long history of serving humanity. We work at the heart of communities, supporting and enabling them to access and receive physical and mental health first aid.

    About the Role

    The Young Responders project engages and empowers young people from diverse communities to become active health citizens through practical physical first aid and mental awareness sessions.

    • Main Responsibilities:
    • Deliver first aid training sessions with community organisations and educational settings
    • Provide pastoral support and guidance to the Volunteer team
    • Work collaboratively with Project Coordinators and Partnerships Manager to plan and deliver project activities
    • Liaise with stakeholders to promote the project in the community

    Requirements:

    • Experience in Youth Work or working with young people in a community context
    • Experience of planning and/or delivering community-based training
    • Safeguarding training relevant to the role
    • Strong communication skills and ability to motivate young people and volunteers
    • Understanding of Equality, Diversity & Inclusion and issues around social mobility
